During the visit, Dutch Ambassador Kees Van Baar shared insights into the Netherlands’ commitment to bolster high-tech cooperation. Dutch technology giants accompanied the Prime Minister, affirming the Netherlands’ keen interest in collaborating with Vietnam in the realms of high technology and digital transformation. Ambassador Van Baar emphasized the interest of Dutch businesses in diversifying their high-tech production beyond China, fostering potential partnerships with Vietnamese enterprises and foreign stakeholders. This pursuit seeks to explore Vietnam’s ecosystem, entrepreneurial climate, and availability of skilled talents to enrich the high-tech industry.

US President’s Visit Sparks Strategic Tech Alliances in Vietnam

Vietnam’s growing allure in the technology sphere was further underscored by the recent official visit of US President Joe Biden in September. Executives from prominent tech companies like Google, Intel, GlobalFoundries, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Boeing, among others, engaged in discussions and unveiled significant technological collaborations. Microsoft and Trusting Social are expected to announce an agreement on developing an AI-based solution, specifically designed for Vietnam and emerging markets. NVIDIA plans to cooperate with FPT, Viettel and Vingroup to deploy AI in computing cloud, automobile industry and healthcare. Meta Platforms and the Vietnam National Innovation Center will announce a program promoting digital transformation among small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
