Sound Demonstration of the Loricraft Professional Record Cleaning System.

These audio files are recorded in the mp3 format to conserve file space. You will need the latest Microsoft Media Player or Apple Quicktime Player to listen to these recordings.

Dirty Record The magnified view of the grooves of an Lp record show the tiny particles of dust on the record. These small particles can produce the poping you hear on playback. You will also notice small flecks of paper from the record sleeve. All dirt will produce noise during playback.

The sound example is a record purchased from a used record store that is in very poor condition. A large scratch was across this band. This is how the dirty record sounds.

The record was cleaned one time on the Loricraft using the SMART "Potent" record cleaning fluid designed for very dirty records. The cleaned record is not perfect, but definitely listenable compared to the original playing. Not all records are this badly damaged. We chose an extremely dirty example to demonstrate. Most serious record collectors take much better care of their precious recordings.

How quiet is the Loricraft Professional Record Cleaning System? Here is a 10 second sound clip. The microphone was placed three feet from the machine. At the end of the clip you will hear a sheepdog that is OUTSIDE the building.

Because our plant is in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia we chose the "Atlanta Anthem" to play.

Only fresh media touches each record!
