SMART Theatre Systems started in 1978 as a small
company with 5 employees to produce a handful of accessory products
for cinema sound systems. At that time optical stereo was in its
infancy and almost all of theatre sound systems were monaural
sound, with scattered magnetic stereo installations for major
movies. Two of the products we offered then are still available
today.
The product line grew steadily until today we offer
120 different products and complete systems; to become the largest
product line in the world for cinema sound products. Our objective
in designing so many choices was to be in a position to offer
the industry's only complete matched component systems. From a
range of stage speakers, surround speakers, stereo processors,
booth monitors, amplifiers, to a host of supporting products,
our product line offers "Total Support" from top to

SMART concentrated it's sales efforts in the U.S.
by offering inexpensive alternatives to expensive products currently
on the market. We have often been complimented on the clever
design approaches and additional features our products became
famous for. Today, we still look for efficient ways to solve problems
and offer many products that have no direct equivalent in the
market.
In 1985 we initiated an export department to solicit
business around the world. Our dealer base has grown to 25% of
our annual sales volume and continues to increase as foreign
customers "discover" the value that our products represent
when compared to others.
We are very excited about the prospects of new products
in development to meet the rapidly changing technology in the
cinema industry. We are doing our part to make your local cinema
sound systems sound even better.
