The previous model of a dual channel package was offered for motion picture theatres around the world. SMART sold almost 4000 of these units and many are still operating today. With the dominance of digital sound in cinemas today, more power was required, and our model TA242 was replaced with higher power units. The superb design was revived and updated for use in fine, high-quality home theatres. This design has superb transient response and high damping factor for thrilling highs and very tight bass. The amplifier modules are the same ones used in our model 2X150VT.
